Bright and bustling, Toronto is a cosmopolitan city whose residents have roots across the globe. Art, food, beaches, nightlife – in Toronto, you’ve got it all.
Toronto is itself a cultural phenomenon, with residents from around the world and scores of languages, foods, customs and celebrations – they’re what make the city great. As Canada’s largest city, Toronto has outstanding museums and galleries, from the Frank Gehry–redesigned Art Gallery of Ontario to the delightful Bata Shoe Museum.
To lovers of jazz and blues, Toronto is particularly rich terrain. It’s even possible to visit one or more jazz clubs in Toronto every single day of the week. There are several rooms that feature live jazz every evening, along with top-notch bars known for showcasing local talent and at least two dinner-jazz hotspots—think the legendary Ronnie Scott’s in London—that focus on international acts.
Toronto With Weeds will leave no “jazz stone” unturned. As in past years in New York City and Chicago we’ll visit the hot spots, the low spots the lesser known spots and everything in between experiencing the finest that Toronto Jazz has to offer!

What People Are Saying
"Thanks again for a great trip; well planned , nice venues, great music. As someone who led student tours around Europe for many years , I commend you on your tour management abilities.”
"Thanks for putting together this tour. I am sure it takes a huge amount of work to get it all together. Your efforts are appreciated. Thanks for presenting some really good musicians whom I hadn't heard of and would not have discovered on my own."
"I have to say Cory that you have provided me with an experience that I doubt can ever be surpassed. Words can't say how much I enjoyed this week. Experiencing New york ( a great city that I have fallen in love with ) through your eyes has been SENSATIONAL. JAZZ has now become part of me and I will be searching out places to go to in Sydney as often as possible."
"Cory, I had a wonderful time, my best ever trip to New York. I definitely got my money's worth and more. Your leadership style is perfect, don't change anything, just right for the type of tour. It may appear and feel casual (which is good) but I appreciate just how much organization and attention to detail it takes to do a trip like that and have 53 people all happy, feeling good, and having a great time."
"Thank you very much for all the great music you arranged for us. I especially enjoyed the recording sessions that gave us a close up look at the musicians and the creative process. I agree that it was a great group of people who all have a love of jazz. A bonus of the trip was to make a bunch of new friends. Also, your kids are great."
"Thank you for giving us such a wonderfully organized insider’s view of New York jazz musicians and their music. Who else could arrange such diverse sessions as the bbq plus music sets at Vincent Herring’s, the funk at American Legion Hall in Brooklyn, Maria Schneider’s Jazz Orchestra at JALC and recording sessions with Steve and the Renee Rosnes trio? Everything was a treat."
"I can’t imagine anyone else playing so many roles as tour leader plus performing gigs with a broken wing. Better be prepared to be swamped with demands for next year’s tour!"
